It's Birthday Season

This year the kids are very aware of their birthdays and they keep adding and adding to their birthday list. Whenever we go to the store they always find something they want, and I usually say,"lets put it on your birthday list." A very good stratagy mind you. This year Nolan's top interest seems to be a Thomas Train, or in his words, " A big Thomas Train, like Maddie has." He is also into a major superman fad, where he only wants to sport superman shirts, no matter how big they are. Too cute, also I should add, he can't tell the difference between superman and spiderman, thankfully.
Taylor's top item, a clear winner, is a squishy life like rat. She is also into squishy toys. Her whole list right now is a rat, squishy toys, pretend pets, a stress relief ball from the pharmacy, snow white from walmart clearance isle, and thats all. She still loves her baby dolls and her bike from last year.
Too cute, they are growing up so fast!!!

East Coast Trip

We just got home from our Baltimore, DC, Winchester vacation and we all had a blast. The kids were amazing through everything considering this is about 100X the activities we are normally doing. We spent the first two days in down town Baltimore, which is beautiful. You could spend a lot of time just walking around checking out the lively local culture and architecture. We hit the Baltimore Aquarium and some great restaraunts. One night on our way back to the hotel there was a concert going on just across the water, and people every where. With no prompting Taylor and Nolan started break dancing, toddler style. That is the last picture. It was the cutest thing.
We stayed with Aunt Michelle in Winchester, VA for a couple of nights. She lives at Fort Lauden where she can brag stands the well George Washington put in in the 1700's during the French Indian war. It still works might I add. Taylor and Noli are pumping water from this well in the second picture. Nolan prefers to work with out a lot of clothes in his way.
We also had time to see the National Zoo in DC, tour the large town of Winchester, and see the Natural Science Smithsonian. We enjoyed great food, great company, and a great time.

10 Year Reunion!

All the build up is over, I just had my ten year reunion...yikes! It was really great to see a lot of familiar faces, and old friends. I really enjoyed the people I went to high school with, and look forward to running into them over the years. Everyone looked better than I remember, and were very sweet. It is impossible to chat with everyone in such a big group, but I did my rounds as best as possible. We definately missed a few of our girls, Julia, Keri, and Jen, but we will get them next time.
It is funny to think that just 10 short years ago, we had curfews, allowances, no real jobs, and no real worries. Now I still have an allowance, have a self induced curfew because of my kids, no real job, and a lot of real worries. I guess not much has changed. I did get some funny looks when I told people I have 2 children, and one on the way. I didn't realize I was breaking any records with this number. Good times for sure!
